It contains comprehensive and ambitious <strong>new measures<\/strong> that will change the outlook for customs activity through the advanced use of <strong>technology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this sense, the European Union&#8217;s strategy aims to lead <strong>major changes<\/strong> in trade and transport as it seeks to strengthen the <strong>Customs Union<\/strong>, optimise its procedures and reduce costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>three fundamental pillars<\/strong> of these changes are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A new partnership between customs and business.<\/li><li>An updated monitoring and risk assessment model.<\/li><li>A more modern regulatory framework for e-commerce.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, these measures are estimated to have an impact of <strong>\u20ac5.7 billion<\/strong> per year for administrations, <strong>businesses<\/strong> and<strong> citizens<\/strong>. These initiatives are expected to be implemented gradually from 2028, with a transition phase until 2038.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rflcargo.com\/en\/\">RFL Cargo<\/a>, a full service logistics operator, offers complete customs <strong>management and processing services<\/strong>. Simplification of <strong>customs duties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. <strong>Cutting red tape:<\/strong> a saving of 2.7 billion euros for businesses.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Gateway for <strong>&#8220;trusted traders&#8221;.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Use of <strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong> to strengthen surveillance.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Establishment of the <strong>EU Customs Authority.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.
