Since the new electricity rates came into force in our country, with a considerable price increase that affects both <strong>production areas<\/strong> and households, the <strong>refrigeration sector<\/strong> has been trying to adapt to the new situation in the best possible way. In some cases it has been possible to adjust <strong>processes and procedures<\/strong> to moderate the impact, but in others it has been impossible because the <strong>customer demands service<\/strong> at a specific time and place, something that cannot be changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other measures that producers are already applying include adjusting <strong>logistical tasks<\/strong> where possible in order to open <a href=\"https:\/\/rflcargo.com\/en\/reefer\/\">cold stores<\/a> at lower cost hours; <strong>adjusting power<\/strong> to avoid deviations and excesses; <strong>investments<\/strong> to achieve greater insulation in cold stores or the <strong>partial transfer<\/strong> of the cost to the customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/rflcargo.com\/en\/\">RFL Cargo,<\/a> experts in <strong>customised logistics solutions<\/strong> and with <a href=\"https:\/\/rflcargo.com\/en\/international-transport\/\">personalised services <\/a>for all types of temperature-controlled goods, we try to adapt to this new reality so that <strong>effectiveness<\/strong> and <strong>competitiveness<\/strong> mark each transport operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Energy efficiency measures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A recent study by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aldefe.org\/\">ALDEFE <\/a>(Spanish Association of Refrigeration, Logistics and Distribution Companies), a trade organisation representing a <strong>refrigeration capacity of 7.000.000 m3<\/strong>, recommends the importance of carrying out energy audits and promoting <strong>energy management<\/strong> systems in refrigeration companies, together with other measures such as monitoring the carbon footprint or optimising processes. An<strong> transition<\/strong> that benefits both the company itself and the planet and society as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The pandemic, an uneven impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The consequences of COVID-19 have been felt unevenly among <strong>refrigerated cargo shippers<\/strong> during the pandemic. While some saw their volumes multiply due to the health crisis and found it difficult to find <strong>available fleets<\/strong> on the market, others saw their cargoes halved.
